A. Vision Statement We provide a place and ministry where teens can see and hear the Gospel so that they will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and then become godly men and women who live sold-out lives for Him. B. Mission Statement We will equip teenagers with the armor of God to live as Christ commands us to live. We will create a place and atmosphere that attracts and meets the spiritual needs of young people at Hebron United Presbyterian Church and the surrounding areas. We will nurture them in the knowledge of Christ in order to live Christ-like lives. We will be intentional about sharing the Good News. We will teach in a way that those who are not Christians can hear about the love of Christ. We will provide opportunities in which relationships can be formed to help teens live out Christ’s commands in their surroundings. We will help students to be in the world, but not of the world. We will provide opportunities for Christian students to use their gifts to serve and lead their peers. C. Core Values Every youth should have the privilege to be treated fairly. Every youth must have the privilege to hear and respond to the Gospel. Every youth should have the privilege of an adult mentor. Every youth has the opportunity to be involved in a small group. Parental authority is a God given power and will not be undermined by our student ministry. Every youth has the right to a safe place. No drugs, alcohol, smoking or obscene language will be permitted at events or programs. Every youth should be provided with the opportunity to be firmly grounded in biblical truth. Every youth has the right to be heard. Every youth should have the opportunity to attend all events if at all possible. |
